I'm Idunnu Tokurah, a Winnipeg parent and business owner running for School Trustee in River East Transcona School Division, Ward 2, in Winnipeg's 2026 Municipal Council and School Boards Election. I believe parents, families and the community belong in the room where decisions about our students get made.
Five priorities, grounded in what the community is already telling us matters: student success, staff support and wellness, financial stewardship, growth without overcrowding, and community involvement.
River East Transcona Ward 2 elects two school trustees. Election Day is Wednesday 28 October 2026 and advance voting runs from 5 to 23 October. For voting locations, eligibility and identification requirements, see the City of Winnipeg 2026 Election website.
