What this site collects.
As little as it can. There are no accounts for visitors, nothing to sign in to, and nothing here identifies you by name unless you type it into a form.
Counts, not people
When a business’s page is opened, or somebody taps Call, Directions, Email or Website on it, or arrives from a code on one of our screens, that event is counted so the business can see whether being listed does anything for them. Each count is stored with a scrambled value made from the day and your connection, which changes every day and cannot be turned back into an address. We keep the event; we do not keep you.
Forms
If you send an enquiry, claim a listing, or ask for a free listing, what you type is stored so we can act on it, and a copy is emailed to us. It is used for that and nothing else. Ask and we will delete it.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where they are. Google sets a cookie in your browser to tell one visit from another. It is never joined to the counts above, and it is not what an advertiser is shown. You can block it with any content blocker or by turning off cookies for this site, and every page still works.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share visitor information, we do not run advertising networks on this site, and we do not track you across other websites. The advertisements here are on our own screens in Winnipeg; this site tells you who is on them.
